AV R&D and safety systems – development of modular base and optical of level crossing systems
Development of the new generation of railway warning signals
AV R&D, s.r.o., in collaboration with AŽD Praha, s.r.o., developed an innovative modular system for level crossing systems bases. This system allowed for configurations with one to four segments and contributed to increased railway safety.
Additionally, AV R&D developed a new optical system for the level crossing systems. This system enabled the integration of high-power LEDs while reducing energy consumption.
Our company provided design, structural and optical simulations, production documentation, prototype manufacturing, and accredited laboratory testing. Tests confirmed resistance to vibrations, shocks, temperature fluctuations, and other influences according to standards and development requirements.
The prototypes were tested on AŽD’s experimental track “Kopidlnka,” where operational tests of the new level crossing systems concept were conducted.
